This trip gives you the best opportunity to live for a few days in total wilderness watching bears, red and roe deer, chamois, marmots etc. It is a trip for the physically and mentally fit people only!
for environmental reasons the size of the group is 4 persons
Day 1
Transfer to Balea Lake, where you will set the tent and prepare for the
first night of the trip. The cooking is done by your guide, but your
input is always welcome!
Day 2
After
breakfast you will start hiking towards the cabin located in the heart
of a wildlife reserve, where the animals are so little used to the
presence of humans that you can find yourself in the situation to see
red or roe deer just a few meters away staring at you! You
have a high chance to see also chamois, marmots and bears. Once you get
settled in the rudimentary cabin used mainly for researchers, you will
roam together with your guide to get in the best location for wildlife
watching. As bears are nocturnal animals, early in the morning and in
the afternoon you will need to be out in the field to see them! In
fact, the more time you spend out of the cabin - the more chances you
have to see wildlife!
The
cabin is a very rudimentary facility, with only one room where
everybody will sleep on wooden small beds using sleeping bags and pads.
There is no proper toilet or shower, so if you are looking for comfort
- please check our trips under "Wildlife watching in the wild" section.
Day 4
Early in the morning you will pack you backpacks and hike back to Balea Lake. Transfer back to the airport.
